Get Out There!
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to learn about the outdoors in Hawaii. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative desire to work on a project to get you outside or in a kitchen and meet locals. Whatever it is, the way you carry yourself, and walk the talk makes a difference.
Don’t worry about sounding or looking like a novice. What matters most is a desire that comes from the heart and the willingness to get your hands in the dirt, sweat, and make a difference. The difference starts within and usually that begins with getting outside yourself to help heal the land.
It is our belief that our well being is interdependent on the well being of the land, the ocean and the air. It is not an opinion or a mantra or marketing words. It is our true belief system. There are many layers to our selves and those layers become our reality and way of being. We can heal ourselves and the community by connecting to our food and assisting in healing of the land. We must heal the land in order to have good clean food and in turn what we put in our mouth. This begins by looking at our connection to the land, taking steps to create a healing forest and sacred farming lands.
Like the layers of the land there is anger, resentment, hatred, abuse and fear. Each layer must be looked at and healed. Anger, resentment, hatred and abuse (of others and self, alcohol, drugs and the land) are not the cause but the effects of our life which is linked to our core fears. At the root level of these layers we fear not being able to survive (lack of food, housing, finances), being accepted, being a member of the community and being loved. How do we heal the roots and lowest layers of dirt in our forests and farm lands?
Intergenerational trauma to the land and to people can be healed through connecting in a physical, mental, heartful/heartfelt way creating a spiritual connection to land and ourselves. Traditional and cultural knowledge about the natural orders of things is the guiding principle of our efforts.
Join us and begin the journey to feeding “GOOD” to yourself, the land and the community. It begins by putting your hands in the dirt, feeling your barfeet in the grass, immersing into the ocean and through deep breathing. Leadership exists to serve the land and the people first.
